Taekwondo - Volunteering

Taekwondo (Korean pronunciation: [tʰɛk͈wʌndo]Hangul태권도) is a Korean martial art, characterized by its emphasis on head-height kicks, jumping and spinning kicks, and fast kicking techniques.
Taekwondo was developed during the 1940s and 1950s by various martial artists by incorporating elements of Karate and Chinese Martial Arts with indigenous Korean martial arts traditions such as TaekkyeonSubak, and Gwonbeop[1] The oldest governing body for taekwondo is the Korea Taekwondo Association (KTA), formed in 1959 through a collaborative effort by representatives from the nine original kwans, or martial arts schools, in Korea. The main international organizational bodies for taekwondo today are the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF), founded by Choi Hong Hi in 1966, and the partnership of the Kukkiwon and World Taekwondo Federation (WTF), founded in 1972 and 1973 respectively by the Korea Taekwondo AssociationGyeorugi ([kjʌɾuɡi]), a type of full-contact sparring, has been an Olympic event since 1992. The body known for taekwondo in the Olympics is the World Taekwondo Federation.

Sai took up this in her 11th grade and made a very progress in this area.  Taekwondo helped her to improve focus and reduce her 11th grade stress.  She is Brown stripe belt holder and also volunteering as a instructor there.

World Thrombosis Day 2016

World Thrombosis Day - Awareness camp - Thrombosis is the formation of a blood clot inside a blood vessel, obstructing the flow of blood through the circulatory system. When a blood vessel is injured, the body uses platelets (thrombocytes) and fibrin to form a blood clot to prevent blood loss. Even when a blood vessel is not injured, blood clots may form in the body under certain conditions. A clot, or a piece of the clot, that breaks free and begins to travel around the body is known as an embolus

Dr. Surya garu explained the Prevention & Treatment of thrombosis.
Sai and her brother Ananya volunteered for this event.
